Londoners can expect to see a lot more of Britney Spears over the coming weeks as the pop-princess marks the start of her European tour.
It will be the first continental tour by the 29-year-old A-list singer for two years, reports the MailOnline, and one that will see Spears play over 20 dates in 14 countries.
In advance of her first date, St Petersburg on September 22, the superstar decided to kick things off in style a luxury Soho Hotel last night; much to the delight of British ‘celebrity’ onlookers.
MTV.co.uk reveals that while VIP guests like Cheryl Cole, JLS, and Jude Law managed to miss the event entirely, Z-listers like The Only Way is Essex star Mark Wright and X Factor reject Katie Waissel were in attendance.
Britney, who is widely expected to let loose at some of the chic party venues London offers during her stay, didn’t mind about the lacklustre attendance at her tour launch.
Taking to Twitter from the comfort of the hotel rooftop, the singer shrieked: “Look at this view of London, so beautiful! Love it here. Having a blast in the UK.”
In what will undoubtedly be a highlight of the tour, the ‘Criminal’ singer is set to play an impressive three nights at the O2 Arena when she returns in late November.
Adding of her love of the English capital, the signer also tweeted last week: “So excited to stop over in the UK before I start my European tour in a few weeks. Can’t wait! I LOVE London, it’s like my second home.”
