VisitEngland have launched a new corporate website aimed at providing those within the tourism and hospitality sector with statistics and research relevant to their business.
The country’s tourist board is set to publish all of the industry’s research on VisitEngland.org, in addition to other facts and figures which could help the development and strategies of those who own hospitality businesses such as conference centres and function venues.
According to Visit England, the website will also provide users with tools that can be used in specific business areas such as sustainability and accessibility, which are areas the board hopes businesses will improve on. The website also includes areas for partnership groups like the Partners for England forum and the English Tourism Intelligence Partnerships.
Other features of the site include a new media centre, itinerary suggestions and up-to-date information on marketing opportunities.
“One of our priorities is to keep the industry up to speed with the latest trends and insights to assist them in improving performance,” James Berresford, chief executive of VisitEngland told Big Hospitality.
“Designed to be the first port of call, the website not only informs, but we hope, inspires the industry to try new things and to keep connected to us. The website is the first in a suite of communication tools to be launched by the tourist board with new industry newsletters and a CRM System (Customer Relationship Management) being put in place early this year.”
