Members of the boyband One Direction have been slapped with a 1am curfew by their management in the run-up to the release of debut single ‘What makes you beautiful’.
The boys – Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson – were hit with the ban following too many late nights out in the kind of lavish party venues London is famous for.
According to TheSun.co.uk, the final straw came after they attended Alexandra Burke’s birthday party last week. A source told the site: “The lads are at a make-or-break time publicising their debut single.
“With a packed diary their bosses know the band need to be in decent shape. So, for the time being at least, they’ve been told to rein it in or risk a rollicking.”
The boys, who were third-place finalists in last year’s ‘The X Factor’, even hid in the toilets to avoid detection at the party, the source added.
Meanwhile, Burke, fellow contestant and winner of the 2008 series, is said to have enjoyed her 23rd birthday in style. Heart.co.uk reports that the singer had two different outfits during the evening – a grey, skin-tight mini-dress and a floor-length, white Grecian number.
Alongside One Direction, guests at the party included TV and radio host Denise Van Outen, ‘TOWIE’ star Lauren Pope, Amy Winehouse’s niece Dionne Bromfield and rapper Chipmunk.
At the end of the night Burke tweeted: “Thank you all for the amazing birthday messages! I had the best party ever last night!”
One Direction’s debut single is to be released on September 11th.
