Dragons, banquet tables and robes all key for a 'Game of Thrones' wedding

A wedding planner is offering some tips on how to create a ‘Game of Thrones’ themed wedding, stating that some of the essentials include dragon ice sculptures and getting the guests to dress up in Medieval robes.

Speaking to express.co.uk, wedding planner Kerry Jackson-Rider explains that it’s the details that will make the wedding venue look fantastic. The happy couple should light the place with fire baskets or lanterns. A fancy candelabra won’t go amiss either, notes Ms Jackson-Rider. Guests can sit in chairs covered with fake furs and the bride and groom could get their very own thrones to make them feel like king and queen.

When it comes to what the bride should wear, Ms Jackson-Rider comments that there are two main characters that ladies often want to imitate.

“All the ladies wear interesting outfits but I think Daenerys Targaryen and King Joffery’s fiancée, Margaery Tyrell, are the most popular in terms of dress, hair styling and accessories,” she tells femalefirst.co.uk. “I personally like Daenerys’ blond, flowing natural wavy [hair] style which can be adorned with a floral wreath or jewelled tiara or simply left to flow with braids.”

The couple can make a real statement by opting to have long wooden tables with benches to recreate the feeling of a Medieval hall. Some people might even want to add fake snow and a dragon ice sculpture to finish off the overall look, Ms Jackson-Rider says.
