Events boosted by sponsorship service

A new sponsorship service has been launched for the events industry, helping organisers to find corporate backing, reports.

The service – hosted on – will help pair up corporate sponsors with appropriate events.

Using a “clever, intuitive search function”, the site matches sponsors to events by examining demographic and audience. Finding sponsors is free and those wishing to pursue their matches will pay only an annual fee of £75.

Managing director of the service, Guy Wimpory, spoke out about it on He stated: “Our ongoing commitment is simply to make sponsorship happen.

“With cuts in public funding and the private sector needing to maximise the effectiveness of their marketing spend, we feel we have an important role to play.”

Mr Wimpory went on to say that he had designed the site after consulting with people like conference space owners and other events professionals, meaning that is provides a “second to none” user experience. “‘Variety’ is another keyword,” he added.

“Sponsors may be surprised by the range of options that exist.”

Already, the industry is buzzing with the news of the site, with one events expert, Lisa Bradshaw, exclaiming: “The listings look great. Brilliant to see so many opportunities on there for sponsors!”

“The website is very easy to use and navigate around,” she concluded.
