Employees within the events industry have cited job security and company progression as the two main perks of their career.
In the results of a survey by Event Magazine, it also emerged that event industry staff were extremely pleased with the competence of senior managers within their company.
The poll compiled results by asking staff from 50 British events agencies to rate certain aspects of their job out of ten.
Staff rated the future direction of their company at an average of 9.5 out of ten, which could show that more companies seem to be hiring their function venues through an events-specific agency than ever.
Events workers also rated their job security as nine out of ten, and their faith in senior management as 9.3 out of ten.
The poll found that salary and training were the two things that staff would most like to see improved, although current levels were both still ranked higher than eight out of ten by staff.
When recently questioned on the perks of the events industry, one managing director working in the sector, Rob Hill, told The Guardian that he most enjoys the satisfaction of a job well done.
He said: “Event organising can be very stressful, and you need to work well under pressure, but it is extremely rewarding when you speak to the client after the event and they tell you how amazing it was.”
