The marriage of the Duke and Duchess and Cambridge may be inspiring people to head for royal residences to get down on one knee, reports MailOnline.
According to the newspaper, there have been two proposals at Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle in the past week.
Both landmarks revealed how delighted they were for the couples in question, who will now be on the hunt for a wedding venue. London may be at the forefront of their minds for this event too.
The pair who got engaged at Buckingham Palace, where Prince William and his new wife shared two kisses on the balcony in front of cheering crowds, said their day went perfectly.
Dean Nicholls revealed he had been thinking about proposing to his girlfriend of three years, Lauren Green, for months.
On popping the question at Buckingham Palace, he remarked: “I had always wanted to go there. The palace symbolises all that is English, for me. Lauren shares the same interest so I thought it was an ideal opportunity to propose.”
One couple who recently announced their intention to marry in London are The Only Way Is Essex pair Lydia Bright and James ‘Arg’ Argent.
Bright told The Sun that they both want to have their wedding in the capital and she would like to start having children by the time she is 30.
