Royal Wedding invitations released

The invitations to the biggest wedding of the year have been sent out, according to Hello Magazine.

The whole of the UK are eagerly awaiting the countdown to the Royal Wedding between Prince William and his finance Kate Middleton and anyone who’s anyone is hoping they will be on the most-sought after guest list.  

Marie Claire reports that 1,900 invitations have been sent out and it is rumoured that celebrity Royalty, the Beckhams have received an invite to the hotly anticipated event.  

With plans already underway for street parties to rival those of the wedding of Prince Charles and Diana back in July 1981, event venues all over the UK are taking bookings for April 29th marked by a public holiday.

The invitations approved by the Queen and Prince Charles invites guests to attend ‘the Marriage of His Royal Highness Prince William of Wales, K.G with Miss Catherine Middleton,’ at 11am on April 2011. Guests are expected to wear ‘military uniform, morning coat or lounge suit.’

The royal couple, are set to tie the knot in Westminster Abbey and the Beckhams won’t be the only celebrities attending the star-studded event. The guest list could also include the likes of Ben Fogle, Elton John and Joanna Lumley according to insiders.

Around 1,000 of the couple’s friends are to be amongst the A-listers, with 300 of the lucky invitees invited to Buckingham Palace for an after-party hosted by Prince Charles.
