Singer sends out 'save the date' cards for upcoming nuptials

Singer Lily Allen has sent out the ‘save the date’ cards for her upcoming marriage to Sam Cooper.

The cards confirmed the event is due to take place on June 11th 2011, according to the Daily Mail; and showed a picture of a farmer and his wife, with the heads of Allen and Copper superimposed on.

They also confirmed the wedding is to take place in Gloucestershire; however details of the wedding reception venue were kept private.

The fact that it is to be held in the countryside only confirmed earlier preconceptions of Allen – that she is obsessed with “village life,” Now Magazine reported.

Previous reports confirmed that despite her country bumpkin reputation, Allen wasn’t going to wear a dress more suited to a farmer’s wife; instead opting for a unique Karl Lagerfeld creation.

Allen and Copper became engaged on Christmas Day, 2010, when Cooper popped the question. The 32-year-old reportedly proposed at sunset, and a source close the couple confirmed: “They are totally in love with one another.”

“It all came out of the blue – but Lily was overwhelmed and they are both overjoyed. They can look to the future now.”

Furthermore, Allen described her fiancée as “the love of my life,” and that he is just a “normal bloke.”
