A star of The Only Way Is Essex is hoping to bag a coveted Christmas number one this year and is taking singing lessons to help.
Twenty-two year-old James ‘Arg’ Argent boasted of his plans for pop-stardom on the way to his first lessons at the Royal Academy of Music yesterday.
The Sun reports that the Frank Sinatra wannabe told his fans via Twitter: “Voice coaching has started! Learning at The Royal Academy of Music, Wow! #TeamArg Xmas No1?”
The ITV2 star is known for crooning out the hits at best pal Mark Wright’s engagement party in the smash-hit reality/soap show. If successful, there’ll undoubtedly be no shortage of Christmas party venues ready for TOWIE cast to party in.
Argent is not alone in his ambition to dominate the charts, as list.co.uk reports that the rest of the TOWIE crew might have a crack at the whip too.
Maria Fowler recently explained that she and her co-stars were willing to take on any competition for the top spot, even if that includes beating an X Factor winner.
When asked whether they could beat Simon Cowell at his own game, Maria explained: “Yeah we would – I’m confident of that. It would be all of us! ‘Have a Happy Reem Christmas’ or something like that. That would be amazing.”
