Woodland weddings becoming more popular

A lifestyle writer has claimed that woodland weddings are the big trend for this year.

Sophie Pyle was writing for streetwise.co this week. She commented: “The big wedding theme this year looks rustic and natural with sophisticated, glam accents… For fashion, brides will don long wedding veils and dresses with ethereal lace.”

The writer also claimed that flowers fit in with this trend perfectly. She said she is expecting them to be make an appearance in all areas of weddings this season – from elaborate floral installations, to rose petal confetti canons and dress embellishments.

Brides going for the woodland theme may even want to feature a flower in their hair instead of opting for the traditional veil.

An article posted on indiatimes.com this week gave even more ideas about what kind of styles brides can try on their big day. These include the ‘boho down-do’, which is “loose, effortless waves”, which can either be worn on their own or worn with the top layer up.

Another style suggested is the ‘classic up-do’, such as a ballerina bun or chignon, which is described as “whimsical and “quirky. Whilst brides that have short or cropped hair are advised to try accessories, such as a floral headband.
