5 big trends in Corporate Events

When hosting a corporate event, you’ll want to set yours apart from the rest. There are many factors that result in a successful and memorable event – from presentations, to networking, and of course the food! With the increasing number of corporate events being held, tapping into the latest trends can really help to elevate your event and give it that extra flourish. Here are some of the hottest trends in the world of corporate events that are sure to take yours to the next level:

Event transformation

To provide a truly memorable event, businesses are beginning to immerse their guests into a complete ‘experience’. With the clever use of venue, décor and even technology, spaces can be completely transformed, making for an unforgettable experience. Certain to excite and engage your guests all day, and sure to get them guessing the theme of next year’s event before the day is even up, this effective event branding is a sure-fire boost for both employee spirit and guest morale.

Immersive technology

Unsurprisingly, technology is rapidly becoming a key trend when organising a corporate event. Mobile phones were once considered a distraction when it comes to events, but they can now be utilised by businesses to create an engaged guest experience. Although traditional conference practices may continue to prove popular, consider some of the more revolutionary concepts that can set your event apart. Updates can be shared via tailor-made event apps, social media and live video streaming, resulting in a completely collaborative and interactive experience.

Guest Interaction

In recent years, there’s been a shift towards unique activities at events to keep guests entertained and engaged, as well as making the attendees part of the event itself. These activities range from interactive classes and competitions, workshops and even exercise classes! Depending on the type of event and the industry, inventive types can get their creative juices going in mixology classes and art workshops, and socially-conscious attendees may like to participate in charity fundraisers and volunteering initiatives. Working some activities into your event is a great way of increasing motivation, promoting team building- and most importantly, having fun.

Exciting catering

There’s no denying that the demand for more exciting cuisine at corporate events is on the rise, and incorporating great food and drink into your event is a perfect opportunity to impress your guests. Not only does exciting food help to engage your attendees and get them talking, but it also plays a big part in keeping them alert and focused all day. Choose a venue that can adapt to your needs, and customise the menu to your event. No matter how impactful your presentations may be, your guests are sure to remember great food!

Unique venues

More and more companies are planning corporate events in fun and unique venues to not only guarantee a lasting impression, but also to encourage attendance. An unconventional venue doesn’t just help to create a real ‘buzz’ around your event, it will also increase the enthusiasm and excitement of your staff.

The work of a wedding planner

Planning a wedding- it can be the most fun time of your life, but it can also be the most stressful. With endless amounts of decisions to make, budgets to manage, and deadlines to meet, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed when planning for your big day. There’s absolutely no denying that organising a wedding is a big job, especially if you’ve never done it before. So why not enlist the help of a professional?

Having a wedding planner can certainly ease some of this stress, meaning you enjoy the engagement period rather than getting bogged down by the seemingly endless tasks that come with planning your wedding. But what exactly does a wedding planner do?

Making sure you stick to your budget

Your budget is very important; determining how much money you’d like to spend on your wedding day in the early stages will undoubtedly affect every decision that you make along the way. A wedding planner will have a discussion with you about your budget at the very beginning of the process, which will pave the way for the rest of the planning. Remember, a wedding planner is likely to have a good understanding of every cost involved when planning a wedding, and will no doubt be able to tailor your dream wedding to the budget you have in mind.

Booking your vendors

The wedding industry is a crowded one, and when looking into potential photographers, florists and entertainment, it’s hard to know where to start. Not only is the sheer amount of options daunting, vendors often need to be booked at least a year in advance, so looming deadlines also need to be taken into consideration. A wedding planner will usually have access to a whole network of vendors, and will not only be aware of those that are familiar with the chosen venue, but will also know which are reliable, eliminating any potential disasters and last-minute cancellations!

Making your dream a reality

With a wealth of experience in what works and what doesn’t, wedding planners can help you create the dream wedding that you have always envisaged, whilst being realistic! Your wedding planner will be able to add a real creative flair to your day, thinking of all the finishing touches that you may not have even considered!

Coordinating the day

On your wedding day, the last thing you should be thinking about is whether the itinerary is going exactly to plan. As you relax and enjoy the best day of your life, your wedding planner will be at hand to ensure all the finely tuned details are organized with precision. From coordinating vendors to handling any unexpected issues on the day, your wedding planner is there to make sure that your day runs smoothly.

Here at The Brewery, our wedding planner will guide you through every step of the wedding planning process, from your first inquiry to any last-minute requests on the day. Working alongside our event managers and with our trusted and experienced vendors, everything will be taken care of, leaving you to enjoy the excitement of your engagement.

Our Polynesian Paradise parties kick off in style!

Summer 2017 has already got off to a sunny start, so what better way to celebrate than with a tropical Tahitian celebration? This summer, The Brewery has become a Polynesian paradise and the perfect venue for a summer get-together.

Dressed and transformed into an exotic Tiki joint, party-goers at The Brewery have enjoyed long summer evenings in the heart of London in the first flurry of our summer parties. If you’re looking for a summer party venue, or are lucky enough to have already booked your place on one of our summer parties, here’s a rundown of what you can expect:

A tropical transformation

Our 18th century cobbled courtyard has had a truly Tahitian twist, decked out with a raised clear roof and two marquees which have been transformed into a Polynesian paradise. From tropical palm trees to Moai statues, our venue really is a tropical nirvana in the heart of Central London!

A Polynesian feast

No Tiki celebration is complete without a BBQ! As well as unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks until 9pm, a full Polynesian-inspired menu is included as part of your party package. Choose between a mouth-watering selection of sliders, or head over to the Poke bar. A traditional Hawaiian staple pronounced ‘POH-keh’, Poke bowls are delicious bitesize pieces of fish or meat, marinated and served with sushi rice, salad and crunchy toppings. The word poke simply means ‘chunk’ in Hawaiian, and the dish is deeply rooted in Hawaiian cuisine.

For sweet-toothed party guests, a selection of irresistible sweet treats will be on offer, including mini Cornettos with Malibu ice cream!

Hula into the night

Our tropical party venue may look like a faraway paradise, but unfortunately it’s still subject to the unpredictable British Summertime weather. Our covered marquee is in place to keep summer showers at bay, and as the evening rolls in and the temperature drops, party goers can head inside The Brewery from 9pm to hula the night away- grass skirts optional! Unlike most other garden party venues, here at The Brewery we’re lucky enough to offer comprehensive indoor facilities as well as an outdoor space- we are in London and not Hawaii, after all!

We pride ourselves on our event planning, as one of the finest event hosting establishments in London. We have a team of talented and experienced planners on hand who will get as involved with your party planning as you need them to, so you can relax and look forward to the party stress-free.

We still have availability this summer for this ultimate party experience, and our all-inclusive packages are available for parties of all sizes, from 80-800 guests. For more information on our Polynesian Paradise summer parties, or to make a booking, please enquire here.

Five wedding trends Pippa brought back

Pippa Middleton’s wedding to James Matthews in May was one of the most talked about high-society events of the year so far. People had been waiting and speculating for months about every aspect of the wedding, from her dress designer to the car she would leave the church in.

When the big day arrived, it was unsurprising that Pippa challenged the modern precedents of wedding traditions with a more classic and timeless wedding masterclass. Needless to say, the decisions she made have already started influencing brides-to-be and inspiring their desires for their own weddings.

If you’d like to know more about the trends scheduled to hit the wedding market for next year’s wedding season, read on.

The dress

Of course, the most important part of a bride’s big day is finding The One. We’re not talking about her fiancé, but instead her wedding dress. Pippa was no exception, dazzling in a stunningly traditional floral lace dress with a high neck and pretty, capped sleeves designed by Giles Deacon.

Many brides, after seeing Pippa’s wedding pictures, have also decided that they’d love to walk down the aisle in style with searches for high neck lace wedding dresses rising by 81% since Pippa’s big day.

There’s no doubt as to why this is – Pippa’s dress paves the way for people to begin embracing the ageless classical styles that will stay in style forever, instead of following the shifting and changing current designs available for brides. Remember, some styles are classic for a reason.

The venue

One of the most talked about aspects of Pippa and James’s wedding was the venue for their reception – a glass marquee in the grounds of the Middleton’s family estate, Bucklebury Manor. Its elegant lines and gorgeous décor made it a venue fit for a princess, or at least the sister of one.

This stunning setting for the evening of her big day was definitely a hit for future brides, with the searches for glass marquees increasing by 10,000%!

While we can’t promise you a glass marquee at The Brewery, our striking venue rooms are just as effusively elegant. Steeped in history and modernised with contemporary style, the rooms are perfect for any size wedding party. They also allow for customisation to tailor your day perfectly, such as light washes that can be selected to perfectly fit your colour scheme.

The flowers

Royal brides are often encouraged to follow the tradition of Queen Victoria’s daughter and have an all-white bouquet with sprigs of myrtle. As the sister of a royal bride, Pippa chose to bring back her own tradition of using pale pink English roses as a bouquet, shifting back towards a preference for simple and organic bouquet choices.

The entertainment

Not all couples can include a Spitfire fly-by or a photo projection on the side of the family mansion as part of their wedding, but that’s no reason to avoid more unusual styles of entertainment for your reception.

At The Brewery, we pride ourselves on our sophisticated audio-visual system and expertise, so projection mapping of your treasured couple photos during your big day could become a reality. Speak to us about what you’re imagining and we’ll do our best to make it happen.

Following in Pippa’s footsteps and choosing unique and personalised entertainment is a sure-fire way to keep guests remembering your wedding in the weeks and months after the event itself.

If you’re looking for a service and a venue for your special day that caters to the traditional, classic and the timeless so that you can emulate Pippa’s class and sophistication, look no further than The Brewery. Our dedicated wedding website The Proposal will help you start the journey towards creating your special day.
