A fashion writer has claimed that black always works for a winter wedding.
Taryn Davies made the statement in an article for femalefirst.co.uk this week. She said that black is a “timeless” option for those worried about what to wear to a winter wedding.
Ms Davies also said that florals are a good option for those who don’t want to wear black as they’re very on-trend this season and will help guests to stand out from the crowd.
Hats are also a good option for winter ceremonies, however Davies said that guests should watch out for the wind, commenting: “Hats are wearable for a winter wedding, if your outfit permits it, but just remember it may be windy, so consider that.”
She said that those guests worried about their hat falling off might want to try an embellished hair clip or headband instead.
As well as guests, it is probably even more important for the bride to get her perfect look for the big day. Some of the latest bridal trends were seen at the recent New York Bridal Fashion Week, according to huffingtonpost.com. These included boho braids for hair, winged-tip eyes as a make-up trend and nude lips.
