The fine details of Kim Kardashian’s wedding have finally been revealed, perhaps giving other brides-to-be some inspiration for their dress or large wedding reception venue.
Kardashian married American footballer Kris Humphries on Saturday at an elaborate ceremony and revealed after a long wait her outfit – a custom-made Vera Wang gown.
The dress – said to be worth many thousands of pounds – was designed with a “full tulle skirt, basque waist and hand-pieced Chantilly lace appliqué on the bodice and epic train,” Dailymail.co.uk confirmed. Accompanying the dress was a veil and “jewelled headpiece containing diamonds.”
Some of the first images of the event also showed the venue was covered in what looked to be white roses, in a simple design. Furthermore, the bride walked down a “seemingly endless white and black carpeted aisle” – a classic theme which may be replicated by other brides.
Even though the ceremony was simple, its cost was likely astronomical; however the press has speculated that rather than shelling out millions for the event, Kardashian will in fact have made money from it.
Metro.co.uk said that the rights to broadcast the ceremony were bought by a “US magazine” for some £1.5 million. What’s more, Kardashian took home thousands just for having her hen do at a Las Vegas nightclub, adding to the alleged £9 million overall that she will have earned.
