Entries have been declared open for the event industry’s newest ceremony – the Brand Event Awards.
The ceremony is set to acknowledge the “event marketing strategies” of some of the world’s biggest brand names.
Furthermore, it will help celebrate the behind-the-scenes work that goes into planning an event; something which is often overlooked in favour of the actual event organisers themselves.
The announcement may see plenty of nominations from event and corporate venues around the UK, who may have hosted events on behalf of some particularly innovative brands.
A representative for the awards spoke to BrandEventAwards.com about the context surrounding the ceremony.
They said: “During the last two years, the role of events has risen to the top of the marketing table, and has allowed brands around the world to connect with consumers in a range of live environments, which have not only increased brand perception but ultimately been responsible for a sharp rise in profits.”
“This set of awards will give brands the first opportunity to showcase the innovative and intelligent event marketing strategies they have employed during the last 18 months.”
Event Magazine also reported on the upcoming awards; revealing that the ceremony would focus on different sectors individually, such as financial, mobile, fashion, media and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).
Categories up for grabs will include ‘Best Brand Event Strategy’ and ‘Best Brand Event Strategy at a Music Festival’, it confirmed.
