Event design
Our award-winning in-house event design team provides creative concepts for any budget – from simply sourcing table centres to transporting your guests with branded or themed designs and productions.
Event facilities
The Brewery offers an integrated DB audio PA system in each room and one of the best Wi-Fi services in the UK for no additional charge. Our in-house AV specialist provides any level of audio-visual support – or you can bring your own team in. All rooms are provided with high-end tableware, built-in LED lighting and electronic entrance signage that can be branded or themed. A complimentary cloakroom is available for delegates to leave their bags and coats with on-site 24hr security, ensuring your awards ceremony or dinner can safely carry on with no hiccups.
Event food and drink
We take our food very seriously. Menus and wine lists change seasonally, and all clients are invited to a tasting in the chef’s kitchen before choosing the menu, with executive chef Tom Gore. Tasting also includes wine, and we’ll help you identify the perfect pairings with your chosen menu. It is also possible for individual table hosts to order drinks online before the event.

It’s important to have different spaces for your guests to mingle and be comfortable in at an awards or dinner venue. A 300-capacity room like King George III offers you the flexibility for seated and standing areas and if combined with Queen Charlotte or Sugar Rooms can increase your capacity and offer a separate space for your guests. London Location
The Brewery occupies the old Whitbread buildings dating from the 18th Century. It neighbours the ‘Silicon Roundabout’ of Old Street and the creative community in nearby Shoreditch. It is very well served by road and public transport.

How do I host an awards dinner?

If you choose to host your awards event at The Brewery, we’ll be with you every step of the way. We work with you from your first enquiry to understand the goals you have for your awards dinner and the services you’re looking to include, from catering and audio-visuals, to IT systems and designed venue spaces.
Which venue space would work best for my awards event?
Here is a list of our venue rooms, each with its own unique features and layout, and a capacity size to suit both the largest and most intimate awards events.
- The Porter Tun has a capacity of 300-1000.
- The King George III has a capacity of 300-450.
- Queen Charlotte has a capacity of 100-200.
- The Sugar Rooms has a capacity of 60-120.
- The Smeaton Vaults has a capacity of 60-100.
- The James Watt has a capacity of 30-80.

Can I hire more than one room to use for my awards dinner/event?
Some of our rooms are interconnected or joined, meaning that we can be very flexible when it comes to linking spaces and hiring multiple rooms. Organisers should be able to use different rooms in conjunction or use one as a breakout area and another as the main stage area.
Can you provide food for my guests?
Our specially tailored menus are perfect for awards events. Our award-winning chefs recognise that food is one of the most important aspects of your awards dinner and will pay particular attention to providing cuisine that complements your evening and stands out as a feature of your event. Where can my guests leave their coats and bags when they arrive?
We have a complimentary cloakroom that all guests can use to leave their belongings in a safe and secure location. In addition, we have 24-hour security so all guests of your awards dinner will be able to enjoy the event knowing their valuables are safe.
Where is The Brewery?
Our venue is located right in the heart of the City, nestled in between London’s financial district and the creative community of Shoreditch. We occupy the old Whitbread buildings – which have been located on the site since 1750 – and we are close to Liverpool Street Station, Moorgate Station and Barbican Station. We are also served by at least 10 bus routes.
