Carsonified: Future of Web Design

Bath-based Carsonified asked us to host The Future of Web Design (FOWD), a conference and exhibition with a host of speakers and interactive streams. Their aim was to excite attending designers about innovations in the industry and provide networking and creative sharing opportunities.

Central to their requirements was good wireless networking; The Brewery’s Wi-Fi network is one of the best in Europe, providing superb high-speed broadband from 20 hotspots throughout the venue. Social networking before, during and after the event, also played a key role in keeping all personnel and attendees up to speed.

Carsonified needed to sustain their guests on the move, avoiding queues for food. Our response was the ‘Market Stall Menu’ concept, comprising an international array of fresh, portable meals, available from mini outlets dotted throughout the venue.

These key proposals, combined with consistent project management and constant communication, helped make the event a great success. The Carsonified team have now decided to move their Future of Web Applications (FOWA) event to The Brewery.

Association of Project Managers – Project Management Conference

The Association of Project Managers conference is an interactive forum bringing together project professionals and decision-makers from across the public and private sectors. It is a conference with exhibition and syndicate spaces during the day followed by a dinner in the evening.

The challenge for The Brewery team was to manage the logistics of transforming the conference space in a very short period of time from a cabaret setup for 250 people to a full dinner setup for 450. The event showed the flexibility of our catering to create a menu that can deliver equally high standards for the conference during the day and the dinner during the evening.

Tesco - Dot Com Conference

For the second year in a row Tesco chose The Brewery as the host venue for, a key date in their event calendar. The event welcomed 750 daytime guests and took over all eight of The Brewery's main spaces demonstrating the flexibility of the venue to be able to provide a solution that seamlessly flowed between the main plenary space, breakouts, exhibitions and product demonstration areas.

Following the conference the guests briefly left the venue to allow a transformation to take place. The Brewery on-site team worked swiftly to turn the Porter Tun round from a theatre style to full banqueting setup with the King George III exhibition space becoming the drinks reception and after party.

For daytime proceedings the look and feel of the event was designed to be on-brand and focused on delivering the corporate message and, in complete contrast, the evening dinner took the form of a tea party themed around Alice and Wonderland. AVC, The Brewery’s in house production company, developed a clever visual and light solution that made it hard to believe that the rooms in the evening were the same that had been used during the day. Finishing touches were then added by The Brewery’s in-house event design making it truly an event to remember.

Due to the changing nature of the event Tom Gore created a series of menus that catered for all aspects of the event. This included a standing lunch menu to allow for networking, an afternoon tea to give a hint at what was to come later and a stunning 3 course wonderland banquet.
