When you pick The Brewery for your wedding you are truly adding a historic twist to your nuptials. With the emphasis on personality and originality, The Brewery is in the heart of the City, with a great range of adaptable spaces and a character that sets us apart from other wedding venues in London.

Our wedding licence includes every room within our venue and allows us to host your wedding ceremony and reception on-site for between 40 and 160 guests in our smaller spaces and up to 600 in the Porter Tun. We can perform civil ceremonies and civil partnerships, and have hosted culturally diverse weddings from the Asian, Jewish and Greek communities.

We’re not just an incredible wedding reception venue, we’re so much more! Our central London wedding reception venue is the perfect place to gather family and friends to celebrate the most joyous of occasions. Due to the unique layout of the Brewery, we are able to host a wedding reception in the centre of London for a guest list of any size. If it’s small and intimate wedding receptions or a large gathering of family and friends, we’re here to ensure you have a fantastic day. There are many venues in London for wedding receptions but there are few that can compare to The Brewery.

We think all weddings are different, a very personal day for each couple. At The Brewery we’ll devise a package to make your day truly unique.

Before creating your bespoke wedding package, our team will listen to the requirements, preferences and budgets and make recommendations based on this.

We can source everything, from flowers and favours, to musical entertainment, or add a creative touch if you're looking for something a little different. All furniture, cutlery, crockery and staff are included in the food cost. Audio and lighting can also be personalised.

Our team will be with you from your initial enquiry through to the last dance. They will work alongside our vastly experienced event managers and highly trained staff to ensure your day runs smoothly, taking all the pressure away from you and creating your perfect day. Dry hire

The Brewery is available for dry hire on selected weekends only, please speak to our team for availability. In comparison to wet hire, hiring a dry hire venue space will only allow you the use of the space itself without any services. Everything else you need for your event you would have to provide yourself.

How to choose a wedding reception venue?

Selecting your wedding venue is one of the most important decisions you'll make during the planning process. Above all, the venue should reflect your personal vision and style. Be sure to consider your guest count and budget as key factors. Location matters as well, it should be convenient for you and your guests, or, if it's in a more remote area, ensure there are hotels and transportation options nearby. Always visit venues in person; touring the space allows you to get a true sense of the atmosphere and, if possible, meet the staff who will be managing your event.

How much does a wedding venue cost in London?

The cost of a wedding venue varies depending on the location, style, size and something the time of the year. At The Brewery our venue hire starts from £19,200.00 inc VAT, subject to guest numbers and rooms. Get in touch with us for more information.

How far in advance do I have to book a wedding venue?

There’s no strict rule, but keep in mind that many venues are highly popular, and your preferred date may already be reserved by another couple. We recommend booking your venue at least a year in advance, which also gives you more time to plan!

Can you have a wedding party without a ceremony at The Brewery?

Absolutely! Many of our past couples have chosen to do the ceremony at the town hall and then host their drinks reception, wedding breakfast, and evening party at The Brewery.

Do you host wedding drink receptions?

If you choose to host your wedding at The Brewery, a drinks reception will be included in your day’s schedule. Depending on the time of year, the reception can be held outdoors or in one of our indoor spaces.

Can we bring outside vendors (e.g., photographers, florists)?

Yes, absolutely. We do require you to use our in-house catering unless you have specific dietary needs such as Kosher or Indian cuisine. However, you’re free to choose all other suppliers. We can provide you with a supplier brochure and are happy to recommend trusted vendors we’ve worked with before who are familiar with the venue. Our planner will also ask you to provide contact details, risk assessments, and any other necessary legal documentation for any outside vendors.

Where is The Brewery?

Our venue is located in the City, occupying the old Whitbread buildings (which have occupied the site since 1750). Nestling snugly between London’s financial district and the creative community of Shoreditch, The Brewery is well served by road and public transport due to its central location.

How do I get there by London Underground/bus/other transport?

The Brewery is close to Liverpool Street, Moorgate and Barbican stations. The venue is also served by at least 10 bus routes. For more information, see our Contact Us page.
