The Ceremony and Drinks Reception

When Brittany and Daniel first stepped into The Brewery, it was the very first venue they viewed. With Daniel from London, Brittany from the US, and both working nearby, its central location made it the right choice for bringing their families and friends together.

The couple tied the knot at Islington Town Hall in a heartfelt ceremony that included their much-loved dog, dressed in a bow tie that read “I do too” and excitedly delivering the rings down the aisle. Afterwards, guests were transported on a vintage red double-decker bus, straight to The Brewery to begin the celebrations.

The couple made full use of The Brewery’s digital signage to personalise the space. A large welcome screen greeted guests in reception, while smaller displays outside each room featured quotes that subtly reflected the purpose of each space. From “Darling, it wouldn’t be a party without you” outside the Queen Charlotte Room to “One cannot think well, love well, sleep well if one has not dined well” leading to the Upper Sugar Room, helping create a sense of flow across the day.

Guests made their way to the Lower Sugar Room for a relaxed drinks reception, set with a comfortable lounge area and live acoustic music by guitarist Edina Balczo, setting the tone for the afternoon. A guest book station with instant camera photos quickly became a space for reflection and laughter, as guests shared messages and candid snapshots. Canapés were circulated alongside prosecco, bottled beers, and a non-alcoholic spritz, while Brittany and Daniel slipped away for private photos in the courtyard before the meal.

The Wedding Breakfast and After Party

For the wedding breakfast, guests moved upstairs to the Upper Sugar Room, where three long guest tables and a top table were laid with crisp white linen and warm-toned florals by Larkspur & Lavender. Brittany and Daniel sat at the top table with their families, while guests found their seats at tables marked with personalised numbers – each featuring a photo of the couple and a memory from their time together. Miniature bottled shots were also placed at each setting, adding a personal touch to the room.

The Brewery’s chefs prepared and served a three-course menu, with the couple choosing to offer guests a choice for each course, followed by petit fours and coffee. After the meal, speeches were given by the bride, groom, father and brother of the bride, and the best man – a mix of heartfelt words and humour that kept the room fully engaged.

As guests made their way into the Queen Charlotte Room, the celebration shifted into party mode. A photo booth was set up for guests to capture fun moments, while the DJ kept the dancefloor packed throughout the night. The couple cut their lemon raspberry cake from Hummingbird Bakery before sharing their first dance, followed by a father–daughter dance that brought a stillness to the room before the tempo picked up again.

A late-night food offering kept everyone fuelled into the evening, while the lounge and bar area gave guests the space to relax between dances. The Brewery team handled every element of the day behind the scenes – from coordination and logistics to supplier management – making the experience seamless and stress-free for the couple, allowing them to enjoy their day without distraction.

Congratulations Brittany and Daniel from all at The Brewery!
